A message from Head Coach Jane Mooney:
Welcome to new and returning swim families! A note about pass cards…
You’ve no doubt noticed that the pool change room entrances are behind a locked door.
New swimmers will be issued with pass cards for entry during swim club times. The full name is to be written on the back of the card, as these are otherwise generic-looking cards.
The pass cards from last season are still valid for this season. Last year, we didn’t mark them by family name, and I received several calls from kindly people wishing to return a card to me, so we will change that: please ensure that your own swimmer or family name is written on the back. If you no longer have your pool pass card from last year, please come and see me (Coach Jane).
The pool administration has raised concerns regarding the number of swim club pass cards that were found abandoned at the pool, found in surrounding areas, and/or were handed in by strangers. Pool administration will therefore no longer let club swimmers in without their pool passes, so please make sure that you have them with you for every lesson.
The pool administration will now charge a fee of 5 dollars for cards replaced due to loss. This would be over and above club fees, as it would be a charge by the City directly to the card holder. It is not an entry fee, it is for card replacement.
If you have any questions about pool pass cards, please email themooneys@theedge.ca.
Thank you, and see you at the pool.
