Welcome to the wonderfull world of competitive swimming. Incorporated in 1975, the Yellowknife Polar Bear Swim Club (YKPBSC) provides young people in Yellowknife with an opportunity to participate in the exciting world of competitive swimming from the beginner to advanced levels.
The YKPBSC program typically begins in late September of each year and concluding for most swimmers at the end of our invitational swim meet at the end of April. Our competitive level groups will often continue later in the summer to events like the Alberta Senior Championships or even the Canada Games. This Handbook was developed to provide a complete outline of the YKPBSC Program. Please take some time to click through the sections.
