Effective communication between Yellowknife Polar Bear Swim Club (YKPBSC) members, the board and coaches is an important way of maintaining a quality competitive swim program. Club members are encouraged to approach any Board Member, the Head Coach or their swimmer's coach (after the day's practice has been completed) if they have any questions.

The Club uses the following tools to help communicate with all members:

Newsletters: The YKPBSC strives to keep participant families informed of news and club achievements. This is achieved through the Polar Press Newsletter issued regularly to each family. The Polar Press is sent to all members via email; posted on the Club bulletin board at the pool and posted to the Club's website.

Web Page: The YKPBSC Web Page address is: www.ykpbsc.nt.ca. It contains a wealth of new and historic information about the Club. Board member contact information is also contained on the web site.

Bulletin Board: The YKPBSC bulletin board is in the lobby at the Ruth Inch Memorial Pool. Club notices, newspaper stories and other information are placed on the board by the Head Coach regularly.

Email Reminders: Club members will receive regular email reminder notes throughout the year. If you are not on the distribution list please advise the Head Coach or Communications Director.

Media: YKPBSC events are regularly covered by local media. Watch the Yellowknifer and listed to CJCD radio for event highlights
