The Yellowknife Polar Bear Swim Club held its annual Swim-a-thon fund raising event on Friday and Saturday, November 3 & 4, 2006. Results for swimmers completing 5000 meters are listed below:

All of these swimmers will be entered in the National 5 Kilometer Challenge Swim sponsored by Swim Canada. Nearly 60 other swimmers completed between 400 meters (several of our 5 year old Dolphins) and 4000 meters. The Club raised over $7000. Congratulations and a 'very well done' to all the swimmers who participated. Thank you to all of the sponsors who supported our Club and to Norma Giovanetto for organizing such a great event.
