Jeremy Jaud was one of the Yellowknife Polar Bear Swim Club's star swimmers through the 1990s. At the age of 14, he set the Alberta provincial record for the 100 meter breast stroke with a time of 1:07.59. He went on to set records at the Junior Nationals and compete in the Canadian Olympic Trials for the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996.
